I’m always finding new ways to build trust with my kids. What I’ve learned is that it doesn’t always happen in the big moments. It’s the small, unexpected ones that matter most.
Sometimes I don’t even realize it’s happening until I’m in it. Until I see one of my girls nervous, unsure, or emotional, and I choose to stay present instead of trying to fix it. It’s in those moments that trust is built.
This video captures one of those quiet, powerful moments where staying calm and connected helped her feel safe, and our bond grew stronger without either of us forcing it.
These are the moments I live for as a dad. The ones I know my daughters will remember one day and say, “Dad, remember when we did this together?”
I’m not in a rush for those days. I just want to be here, right now, building something real, one moment at a time.
